Stephen Hawking and the U.K. healthcare system

This is a great link from today’s NYT on recent efforts to paint the British national health service as a foreboding model for what awaits the United States. Hawking replies that without the the care he received, he would have perished long ago. That guy is awesome and generally cool in addition to being brilliant.
