North Korea and the waiting game
In today’s NYT, reports speculated that Kim Jung Ill now has pancreatic cancer, a particularly fatal type of cancer that kills nearly all of those who are diagnosed.
This is very pressing news because rumors have been swirling about the Great Leaders health for sometime now. With his already fragile state following last year’s stroke and now with this, a change of leadership in North Korea may be moments away.
In an interview today on Fox, Henry Kissinger said that there will likely be a shifting power struggle among North Korea’s military leadership after Kim Jung Ill’s twenty-something son becomes his designated successor and takes power, if that even takes place.
We may witness these events unfold sooner than we think.
